This project thoughtfully employs the Buddhist concept of the Three Buddhas—Past, Present, and Future—as a foundational framework for its spatial design. By seamlessly integrating Eastern metaphysical insights with contemporary minimalist aesthetics and an innovative outlook on future technology, the project presents a meticulously organized living environment. As one enters the foyer, one will be greeted by a striking copper-cast statue of Guanyin, which serves as the focal point of the space. This exquisite statue, adorned with accents of rich tree burl, creates an immediate sense of serenity. The flowing white robes of Guanyin harmonize beautifully with the predominant hues of the celestial and terrestrial elements, as well as the walls, creating a cohesive visual narrative. Moreover, the interplay of copper tones and deep-hued burls in the chestnut-brown furniture adds depth and warmth to the room. In contrast, the lighter burls echo the presence of the sacred figures on the altar, enhancing the spiritual ambiance. Together, these elements establish a series of clear and tranquil spatial layers, inviting reflection and fostering a sense of peace throughout the environment.
The entire space is intricately shaped by the interplay of various usage scenarios, leading to a harmonious design that caters to diverse needs. Through a deliberate strategy of utilizing consistent color tones and textures in the building materials, different functions are distilled into a refined minimalist vocabulary. The ceiling features a large, flat surface that gracefully enhances the structural proportions, imparting a sense of openness. Moreover, by embracing the principle of “light visible, fixtures hidden” alongside a comprehensive whole-house smart system, the lighting dynamically adapts to meet the evolving needs of this unique residential-office hybrid. This innovative approach not only enhances functionality but also enriches the user experience. In addition, the design team has expertly concealed power sources within secondary spaces, preserving clean facades while ensuring flexibility for future projection equipment. Thoughtful cable channel planning accommodates users of all ages, thereby guaranteeing uninterrupted safety along daily pathways. Transitioning to the aesthetics, the private zones are adorned with a sophisticated gray-white tile base that seamlessly merges with the public area’s striking chestnut-brown rust tones, accented by gentle light wood grain elements. This elegant design creates a smooth progression throughout the environment, establishing a tranquil rhythm that enhances daily life, fostering a serene and welcoming atmosphere.
