DEEPscovery: Life Beyond project is a jewelry statement reflecting on humanity’s greatest paradox: in our search for life beyond Earth, we seek our own reflection. The ocean is the universal cradle of life; it is within the aquatic depths of other planets that we expect to find the spark of life similar to our own.

This ring is designed in the form of a “scanning device”. The cube represents a technological probe.

Thin green rods piercing the space within the frame symbolize laser beams or sonar pulses, scanning the darkness of the extraterrestrial ocean.

The triangular insert is made of a custom-cut sapphire slice. It serves as a metaphor of an extraterrestrial ocean.

The culmination is the central emerald. It is a metaphor for life discovered, the first signal detected in the depths of alien waters.

Technical Description

Base Material: 18K White Gold (750 alloy) to ensure high durability for the fine lines of the framework.

Manufacturing Technology: High-precision CAD/CAM followed by 3D prototyping and lost-wax casting.

Green Elements: Gold rods coated with emerald-colored nanoceramic.

Central Stone: Round-cut emerald, approximately 3.5–4.0 mm in diameter, secured in an open 4-prong setting.

Decorative Inlay: The triangular

insert in the base of the cube is made of a custom-cut sapphire slice, processed with the highest precision to achieve ideal flatness and transparency.

Dimensions: The distance from the cube base to the top is 28.56 mm, the product width is 28 mm, the white rod thickness is 1.15 mm, and the green rod thickness is 1 mm.

Green rod lengths: 27.44 mm, 25.54 mm, 17.12 mm.

Weight: Total weight approximately 10 grams.

The design was developed using a hybrid technique: first in 3DM (Rhino), then with artistic rendering and final detailing in Adobe Photoshop.

Certain renders were enhanced with AI to demonstrate the ring’s photorealistic appearance .
