The NAIR Public School creates an uplifting educational environment defined by openness, colour, and human-centred design. The project introduces flexible learning spaces that encourage collaboration while maintaining a strong relationship with natural light and outdoor areas. Its architectural language balances simplicity and warmth, offering students a welcoming place to learn and grow. Designed for durability, comfort, and community value, the school reflects the studio’s commitment to thoughtful social architecture.

Fernando Brandão, born in São Paulo in 1960, graduated in Architecture and Urbanism from FAU/Santos University in 1983. His practice spans commercial, corporate, and promotional architecture, with recognition from institutions such as IAB, AsBEA, IDEA, and Red Dot. He served as director and vice-president of AsBEA, contributing to the advancement of Brazilian architectural practice. In 2009 he received the national commission for the Brazilian Pavilion at Expo 2010 in Shanghai, a milestone that strengthened his international presence. Since 2010 he has lectured at DeTao Masters Academy in Shanghai in partnership with Peking University and Fudan University, deepening his academic engagement. In 2012 he expanded his practice with a Shanghai office based within SIVA, the Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts.
