Located in a consolidated urban context, this single-family residence is guided by a clear premise: to create a private, contemporary retreat where architecture and nature coexist in harmony.
The core concept revolves around a central garden, which not only organizes the spatial layout but also mediates the relationship between interior and exterior. The house is oriented inward, embracing this verdant core, allowing vegetation to visually and sensorially permeate the main living spaces, and cultivating a serene, airy, and light-filled atmosphere.
The volumetric composition and spatial strategies ensure privacy from the public space. Solid façades and subtle transitions guide visitors toward the interior, where the architecture gradually reveals itself.
The entrance, defined by a transitional threshold, anticipates the experience of the central garden, offering a sense of transparency without compromising the home’s intimacy. A palette of honest materials—exposed concrete, steel, and wood—paired with abundant greenery, establishes a warm and timeless narrative that enhances daily living. Inside, spaces unfold seamlessly, with generous openings that blur the boundary between indoors and outdoors. The living room, dining room, and social spaces maintain a constant dialogue with the garden, encouraging cross ventilation, natural light, and climatic comfort.
This project reimagines urban living by prioritizing well-being, a connection to nature, and high spatial quality—without sacrificing privacy or integration with the surrounding context. Rather than imposing itself on its environment, the house retreats inward, creating an introspective haven full of life, shadow, and light—where every space remains intrinsically linked to the natural landscape.
