A special seaside garden in Paros was designed and implemented with care and dedication. The design approach was based on a multifactorial analysis of the site, taking into account the orientation of the space, the strong Aegean winds, and the architecture of the building.

Our goal was to create a unique garden with zero ecological footprint — a major challenge for our team. A garden that would incorporate Mediterranean flora, harmoniously integrated into the natural landscape and topography of Paros.

The design involved a strict selection of plant material, fully acclimatized to the area’s conditions, requiring low maintenance and offering high resistance to drought and the intense summer heat. We succeeded in creating a garden that resembles a miniature version of the surrounding landscape, offering visitors a sense of authentic natural simplicity.

The garden features a wide variety of aromatic and ornamental grasses, which not only add fragrance and color to the space, but also introduce movement, evoking the feeling of a garden that lives and breathes. A place filled with green surprises and visual transitions, creating emotions and experiences for those who live in it.

During the implementation phase, our team encountered several challenges, primarily due to the strong winds and extreme heat during the construction period. These conditions significantly increased the difficulty of the project and truly tested the limits of our team members.

As part of our eco-conscious approach, all materials used in the garden were locally sourced from the island of Paros. Additionally, rocks from the excavation during the building’s construction were reused in the garden’s design, achieving a harmonious balance between the plant material and the natural elements of the site. The result is a garden that “carries” the history of both the island and the specific plot of land.

The proximity to the sea — just a few meters away — posed an additional challenge: to achieve a garden that is resilient, functional, and aesthetically refined, despite the harsh coastal conditions.

With creative vision and deep respect for the environment, we designed a garden that leaves visitors with a sweet taste of Greece, of summer, and of unforgettable moments on the island of Paros.
