“Reversal”

MOS Burger’s new concept, “MOSH Burger & Bar,” has opened in Ginza. It’s a restaurant with two distinct personalities depending on the time of day: a burger shop featuring cheese as the star during the day, and a bar where guests can enjoy a relaxing evening with drinks in the evening.

Furthermore, the name “MOSH”—which means “to jump for joy” in English—embodies the wish that customers will “jump for joy because the food is so delicious,” as well as the concept that MOS + H stands for hospitality, happiness, and health.

Consequently, at the “MOSH Ginza Nine” location, the designers sought to connect the daytime and nighttime spaces through design.

Specifically, by placing mirrors with the same design on opposing walls, the space is reflected infinitely; the goal was to let natural light flood in during the day and scatter the interior lighting throughout the space at night.

Furthermore, the mirrors were designed as a symbol that “inverts” the worlds of day and night, embodying the original meaning of “MOS”: M stands for MOUNTAIN, O for OCEAN, and S for SUN—conveying the philosophy of “being as noble and dignified as a mountain, possessing a heart as deep and vast as the ocean, and holding a passion that burns as endlessly as the sun.”

Furthermore, to express “MOS”’s desire to “be sincere,” we made every effort to use natural materials as much as possible.

I hope that a new form of “MOS” will emerge from this.
