Sustainability was the driving force behind the redesign of La Terra Fina's popular Quiche packaging. As part of its ongoing commitment to reducing its environmental footprint, the brand developed a new structural packaging system that significantly decreases material usage while preserving the premium presentation and product quality consumers expect. The challenge was to create a package that was demonstrably more sustainable without sacrificing shelf impact, functionality, or consumer confidence.

The redesigned package replaces the plastic dome lid with a vacuum-sealed film, eliminates the black plastic tray in favor of a recyclable aluminum tray, and introduces a smaller, optimized paperboard sleeve that uses less material. Together, these structural improvements reduce plastic usage by up to 80% while maintaining the product's visibility, freshness, and ease of use. Both the aluminum tray and paperboard sleeve are widely recyclable, reinforcing La Terra Fina's commitment to more responsible packaging solutions.

To ensure consumers immediately understood the change, the redesign incorporates a bold front-of-pack sustainability message highlighting the reduction in plastic while reassuring shoppers that the product's taste, quality, and portion size remain unchanged.
