El Monte Residences is located at the foothills of Almaty, Kazakhstan, embraced by a majestic mountain panorama. The site presents a 20- meter elevation change, which became both a design challenge and an opportunity to create a distinctive architectural composition.
Occupying a 2- hectare plot, twelve residential blocks host premium-class apartments carefully integrated into the natural terrain. Terracing the slope evolved into the project’s defining gesture – forming multi-level courtyards, cascading water features, and intimate landscaped spaces that generate their own microclimate during the hot, dry summers.
The development is designed for residents who seek tranquility, connection with nature, and unobstructed views. Generous panoramic glazing, view-oriented balconies, and green terraces on the lower levels frame the surrounding mountains and invite daylight deep into the interiors. The stepped masterplan ensures every residence enjoys an open, cinematic perspective – merging architecture, topography, and atmosphere into one living landscape.
