With a new website, the design team prepared the Christian Social Union in Munich (CSU München) better for the communication challenges of the future and the state election in October 2023. The basis for the future work of the brand is the developed modular structure, which enables professional brand management for the evolving City Party. At the same time, the design achieves design unity and flexibility, thus ensuring a unified brand appearance across different media and different target groups. The revised homepage combines fresh colors and modern typography to reflect competence, progress and diversity. The heart of the website is the interactive, animated map of Munich and its candidates for the Bavarian state parliament.

The new website paves the way for new digital touchpoints: the website serves as a central hub for successful digital campaign management. The website’s modular design system enables unlimited content expansion and a large organic reach. Over several weeks of close collaboration, an authentic form and color language was created that impresses with its reduction of complexity. Whether logo, typography, infographics or UX/UI of the website: The organic look runs like a common thread through the touchpoints of the campaign design.
With a revamped design that is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also intuitive and user-friendly, visitors are offered a first-class online experience. The new digital flagship stands for large images, little text and strong storytelling.
The website was part of the electoral success of the CSU. Five of the nine direct mandates go to the CSU. The CSU increases its share of the vote by 4 percent.
Politikwerft Designagentur
The Hamburg agency Politikwerft has specialized in corporate design. They deliver the website, the printed documents, photos – everything from a single source. Designing a uniform image for companies: That’s what the makers of the Politikwerft see as their task. The name “Politikwerft” is not a reminiscence of their field of study, but dates back to the company’s early days: Horstmann and Braun received their first commission for web design and poster design from a citizenship candidate whom they had met through a fellow student. Apparently, others also had a need for support in the field of design: once started, the company, which was not even one at the time in 2011, continued to develop and quickly gained more clients through word of mouth.
